Looking to make a difference as a volunteer?

DRNGhana welcomes and encourages committed individuals to apply as skilled volunteers in our Oblogo-Weija offices. Skilled volunteer opportunities range from short-term to long-term assignments, and are offered in a variety of areas such as structural and civil engineering, environmental sciences, water sciences, country planning, finance, fundraising, human resources, marketing and communications, resilience and sustainability, public policy, and social media, as well as within international and domestic programs that promote community resilience in Infrastructure, health, education, disaster risk reduction, and civil protection.


What is a skilled volunteer at DRNGhana?


A skilled volunteer is an individual who:

Supports specific project work with his/her expertise/skill under the direct technical supervision of a DRNGhana staff member.


Is able to commit a minimum of 12 hours a week; but may work up to 40 hours for a period of 10 weeks or longer.


Is available to work in one of our office locations in Oblogo-Weija Accra and ready to

offer services freely, without promise, expectation or receipt of compensation.


Possesses the knowledge and technical skills needed to do the work of DRNGhana and

Skilled volunteers include:

Individuals wanting to re-enter the workforce to contribute their knowledge and sharpened skills as well as be part of an innovative professional experience.


Individuals who has or would like to gain experience in the non-profit sector

Retirees ready to contribute their skills to making a difference, but seeking the flexibility volunteering offers.


Individuals seeking new experiences to impact, learn and make a difference in a community in Event planning and support, Grant research and writing, Requests for corporate sponsorships, Creating artwork and music, Technical support such as testing tools and software; Writing or blogging and General support.
